Build This House 2016.
Their Home. Their Health. Their Safety.
Kids in Crisis is a dynamic and critical project which operates out of Conakry, Guinea. Specifically, the Kids in Crisis Centre is a permanent home that provides medical aid, nutrition, education and full-time shelter and care for children infected or affected by HIV and AIDS.
Since 2010 Upper Room Community Church has been partnering with Lizette Lavoie, a Canadian International Worker in Guinea, and Lazare & Faith – 2 Guinean nationals deeply committed to serving, protecting and nurturing these children by sending teams of people to help their staff & love the kids, and also by raising funds to support this vital ministry.
Over the past 6 years we have sent 12 people on short-term mission trips and raised over $200,000 to support and grow this ministry - including purchasing land to build a permanent home for the KIC Centre.
Get Involved! Help us raise $40,000!
While we wait for the land permits to begin building, the costs of this growing ministry continue. With over 30 chlldren in their care Kids In Crisis needs our help. That's where you come in!
$40,000 is enough to cover rent, medical supplies and education for the children, and security for the centre for an entire year! Donations in 2016 will go to cover these practical daily needs.
Donations can be made through Upper Room Community Church, indicating “Guinea” on your cheque. There are no administration fees if you give this way - 100% of your donation goes to the KIC.
If you would prefer to give online go to Canada Helps.
